About the Event
This course is a review of the anatomical structures of the vascular system. The course will provide the healthcare professional caring for patients who undergo vascular studies or have vascular disease a better understanding of the anatomical structures, functions and location of arteries and veins in the body. Concepts that will be reviewed include the circulatory system, circulatory routes, and characteristics of these remarkable systems. The branches of the abdominal aorta will be discussed which are comprised of three groups of arteries- the unpaired visceral arteries, the paired visceral arteries, and the parietal visceral arteries. Vasculature of the cerebral and carotid circulation, upper extremities, lower extremities will also be discussed.
